Journaling Bible – Acts

journaling bible

I’ve been wanting a Journaling Bible since February and they’ve been sold out until July!! I finally purchased one while we were in Panama this year and I’m just starting to use it! I love that I can combine my love of crafting with my love for Jesus! I can’t wait until it gets that worn book look….the other love of my life.

If you’re interested in buying one, this is the one I have, but there are a few other options…literally only a few and not even a handful of translations. Hopefully, they will make more options, but I’m super happy with mine! I’m sure you could also google “journaling bible” and find a few other sites that sell them.

Today I journaled from our service yesterday. We’re reading the book of Acts a few times through and man, there are so many stories I hadn’t noticed before! And dude, there are some funny parts in it. For example, look at Acts 1:23-26:

“They nominated two: Joseph and Barsabbas, nicknamed Justus, and Matthias. Then they prayed, ‘You, O God, know every one of us inside and out. Make plain which of these two men you choose to take the place in this ministry and leadership that Judas threw away in order to go his own way.’ They then drew straws. Matthias won and was counted in with the eleven apostles.”

That is SO ME!! I can’t count how many times I’ve prayed for something so strongly and then, oh well…I’ll just play Eeny Meeny Miny Moe and go with that! I’m really not sure if the guys truly believed that drawing straws was God’s way of choosing an apostle, or if they were more like me and figured that would be the fastest, easiest way to settle it. Regardless, it’s nice to know the Bible is filled with every day people like me who just talked super proper. 😉

(Washi Tape purchased at Michael’s and Paper Mate pens purchased at Office Max although my package came with a grey pen which is pretty much the only reason I bought that pack)
