Pizza Hut’s Book It program motivates kids to read by rewarding their accomplishments with their own personal pan pizza! The boys had these rewards when they were in private school, and when I learned we could utilize the program in our homeschool, I was down!
It’s super easy to sign up for the program and your rewards are mailed to you to give to your kids when they’ve earned their pizza at the end of the month. I love that the company encourages reading outside of school hours! The deadline to sign up was September 1st, but if you haven’t signed up for the program, you can go to this link and sign up on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Now I know Pizza Hut is not exactly the healthiest choice, but it’s once a month, and it’s a REWARD. My only problem is I have to remind myself that I don’t need to give myself a reward every day. Sigh. Oh but pizza calls my name often…
Pizza Hut sends the reward tickets, but not a sheet to keep track of reading minutes. I wanted something the boys could keep in their binders, so I made this printable we can use each month. There’s a grey box for the month, and you would simply cross out the days, just like a calendar. It’s also made so you can use it as a reading log for anything you desire.
Enjoy this download and happy reading! 🙂
*Note* Only photos show title “BOOK IT CALENDAR.” Download does not.
*Edited to note the printable will read “Reading Log Calendar” and not “Book It Calendar” for trademark reasons 🙂
